Who are the Misers?

Heat Miser and Snow Miser gained much of their fame due to the 1974 Rankin Bass made for tv special, "The Year Without a Santa Claus," in which they battle over the fate of Southtown USA's Christmas, assisted by their bands of imp-like minions who are also small, identical replicas of themselves. These famous half-brothers run hot and cold in their attitude toward each other, but are equally passionate about the holidays! They especially enjoy performing snappy rag time song and dance numbers for their fans and political supporters.

While it may seem like Heat Miser and Snow Miser are very alike (and in certain ways they are) they have some key differences. For example, everything that Snow Miser touches turns to ice, while Heat Miser's touch has the opposite effect. Also, Heat Miser prefers the warm climes of the South, and Snow Miser prefers more northerly regions, such as the North Pole.
